Synopsis

The Asoja is the woman-god-bird who transmutes her spirit. She was a tiger, she was a plant, she was a jaguar and today she is a girl (EAMI) who must heal her pain. EAMI is a story about displaced people. It is the memory of a people who must migrate from their place of origin - a shrinking jungle of the Paraguayan Chaco - to become "coñone", an Ayoreo word that means Insensible or Foolish, and it is the word they use to define us.
