Animated Short Film

Sinopsis

We are all immigrants. Some leave cities or countries; all of us leave our childhood. Like the Minotaur of mythology, we roam through personal labyrinths, carrying nothing but a suitcase of memories, a portable time capsule filled with assorted mementoes from a past we can no longer reach. Inspired by the novel by Bulgarian writer Georgi Gospodinov.

Director

THEODORE USHEV
He first made a name for himself as a poster artist. In Montreal, he worked in the multimedia industry and then found fruitful creative soil at the National Film Board of Canada, where he made, Lipsett Diaries (2010) and the Academy Award®-nominated Blind Vaysha (2016). His films have won more than 150 awards. The Physics of Sorrow (2019) is his latest project, and most ambitious work to date.
