The Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG) presents the official poster for the
41st edition, created by artist Ricardo Luévanos, whose visual concept transforms
introspection and creative power into a cinematic metaphor.
For Luévanos, designing the poster for FICG41 is a deeply
meaningful achievement. “The festival is a collective experience that you live and feel, and being able to give it
an image is a great honor. For many years, I’ve closely followed the
posters edition after edition, so being part of this history as the designer is, without
a doubt, a dream come true,” he shares.
The inspiration for the poster stems from the ideas and manifestations of the creative mind.
At the center of the composition, a gaze stands out, symbolizing introspection: that
decisive moment when an idea begins to take shape. Surrounding it are
weaver birds—birds capable of building complex nests with skill and dedication—
which serve as an analogy for the filmmaking process. Each bird represents
an idea in development: some remain, others evolve, and others transform
into something different, explains the artist.
The color palette reinforces the concept: blue evokes calm and infinity; the
yellow, characteristic of weaver birds, adds identity and energy; while the
brown and green evoke the natural and organic aspects of the creative process.

Luévanos style connects with cinema and the FICG by constructing a
visual narrative that tells stories through the elements of the image.
Ricardo Luévanos studied Graphic Communication Design at the University of
Guadalajara, an education that provided him with the foundation to explore art and digital design.
He began his career as an illustrator in 2008 and, thanks to his creativity and distinctive visual identity
, has collaborated with brands and platforms such as ELLE Mexico and Nike.
The 41st edition of the FICG also recognizes the Festival’s strong relationship with Chile, a country
that has maintained a constant presence throughout its history, from its first
participation in 2003 with a classic film showcase, to its delegation’s annual presence
at the Guadalajara Film Market, and its designation as Guest of Honor in 2019 and 2026.
