Film and TV director, producer and screenwriter. He is the first Mexican to appear three consecutive years in Mexico’s Top Ten with his biggest box-office hits, also released in different countries.
Studied Direction at the International Film School of San Antonio de los Baños in Cuba and in the studio of Juan Carlos Corazza in Madrid, Spain. His first projects as a filmmaker were short films; in theater he wrote and directed No sé si cortarme las venas o dejármelas largas, Sin cura, Un dos tres por mí y todos mis amores, I Love Romeo y Julieta, Nunca es tarde para aprender francés y Straight, adapted from the original play by Drew Fornarola and Scott Elmegreen.
He has directed five feature length-films: No sé si cortarme las venas o dejármelas largas (2013), Amor de mis amores (2014), Elvira, te daría mi vida pero la estoy usando (2014), La vida inmoral de la pareja ideal (2016) and Perfectos desconocidos (2018).
He was part of the jury of the first NETFLIX award held in Mexico, with whom he developed his first production for a streaming service, La casa de las flores.
