Synopsis
During the bloody years of the Mexican Revolution, a teenage peasant discovers the lifeless body of a federal soldier in a cactus field. When he decides to steal the soldier's uniform, the boy is captured by a wounded revolutionary fighter who mistakes him for an enemy. A painful journey across an inhospitable landscape confronts the young peasant and the revolutionary against each other but also forces them to recognize their mutual humanity. Finally, the revolutionary decides to release the boy, but soon their paths cross again one last time.
Director
Mexican producer and director. He studied film and art history at New York University (NYU). Through his production company Enfant & Poulet, Francisco has produced the award-winning feature film
documentary Sanctuary (Dir. Andrea Córdoba) and is co-producer of the fiction projects Huesera (Dir. Michelle Garza Cervera) and Todos los fuegos (Dir. Mauricio Calderón Rico).
