Sinopsis
A healer chose to heal an ailing country. The Spokeswoman (La Vocera), the one who carries our voices is Maria de Jesús Patricio, the first indigenous woman to aspire to the presidency in Mexico. Her journey also tells the story behind the Indigenous Government Council’s fight to preserve nature and for a new way of understanding progress in the world today.

Luciana Kaplan
She has dedicated her career to documentary filmmaking and teaching. She directed de Ambulante post-production grants for seven years and she is the coordinator at the Documentary Film Program at CCC. Her films have won the Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes, Imcine and Eficine support and many important awards around the world. She's currently working on her fourth feature documentary The Invisible Project.
