CO-PRODUCTION MEETINGS

Call for entries for Iberoamerican projects in development state

With the main objective of promoting direct contact between film projects in development in Ibero-America with professionals from the audiovisual industry, financing funds, producers, international buyers and sellers, the 41st edition of the Guadalajara International Film Festival is calling for participation in the 22nd edition of the Co-Production Encounter:

Guidelines

The Co-production Meetings will be held within the activities of the 41st Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG).

Only those projects that comply in a timely manner with all registration requirements will be received for reading and selection.

A maximum of 15 Ibero-American film projects that are most likely to obtain financing will be selected to participate in the Co-production Meetings.

All the received projects must be feature fiction, documentary or animation which have not yet been filmed, that have a finished script, at least 20% of financing in place and with a minimum of 70 minutes of projected duration.

The projects will be selected by a committee made up of members of the film community, appointed by mutual agreement by the organization of the Co-Production Meeting.

_

The participation in the Meetings is free of charge. Travel and food expenses are the responsibility of the representatives of each project.

Projects can be registered from Thursday, August 21, 2025, until Friday, October 24th, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. central Mexico time.

The selected projects must confirm their assistance to the Coproduction Meetings, otherwise their participation will be automatically canceled and a runner up will be selected.

Selected projects will obtain:

  • Three days of individual one-on-one sessions with national and international professionals (producers, financing fund representatives, sales agents) invited to the Co-Production Meeting.

  • The publication of the project information and of the participating representatives in the Industry catalog (digital).

  • Free industry accreditation for two representatives per participating project. Project representatives must be director-producers. A maximum of two representatives from each project may attend.

  • The possibility of accommodation for a maximum of four nights (double room per project).

The selected projects will participate in private pitch sessions to have the possibility of obtaining different awards and/or support. These sessions will be held in front of our industry partners, who will contribute to the development, financing and completion of the selected project.
