What is the FICG?
The Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG) is a major cinematic and cultural event for Guadalajara and the country as a whole, as it serves as one of the most important platforms for the appreciation, dissemination, promotion, and distribution of Mexican and Latin American cinema.
It is a festival for everyone and by everyone. Our mission is to promote and share the joy of film culture through a variety of activities that view cinema as an industry, a form of entertainment, and an art form.
The FICG is the most established film festival in Latin America and the longest-running in Mexico. For these reasons, it offers a wide range of opportunities for the film industry, which has allowed it to establish itself both nationally and internationally. The FICG serves as a platform for training, education, and creative exchange among professionals, international film critics, and students from Ibero-America.
What kind of films are screened at the FICG?
Of all kinds, across all genres; the FICG offers a diverse showcase of international and domestic cinema.
